Hi. My name is Elizabeth. I live in NYC with my sons, Henry and Luke, and three Siberian cats. I’m a writer, journalist, writing coach, and editor. As the sister of one of two boys whose stories were cribbed together for the made-for-TV movie “The Boy in the Plastic Bubble,” I’m also a veteran of an unusual childhood. I grew up in a hospital, watching my older brother, Ted, navigate the world while confined to a sterile room after being diagnosed with an immune deficiency disorder at age nine. He died at 17, eight years after he was diagnosed. I was 14. Everything I’ve ever learned about overcoming struggle comes from him.
